The Aging and Disability Resource Center staff lead community classes that help people learn about fall prevention. They are seeking Peer Leaders to assist them in upcoming class offerings. Peer Leaders must be 60 years of age or older, care about senior safety , be comfortable in front of a small group, and go through some training to help facilitate this program. Mission: The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Central Wisconsin promotes choice and independence through personalized education, advocacy, and access to services that prevent, delay, and lessen the impacts of aging and disabilities in the lives of adults.
ADRC-CW promotes choice and independence through information, personalized options counseling, advocacy, and access to services which prevent, delay, and lesson the impacts of aging and disabilities. We serve adults age 60 years and older and individuals age 17 years 6 months or older with physical disabilities, developmental disabilities, mental health concerns, substance abuse issues, as well as their families, caregivers, and friends. Our service area includes Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, and Wood Counties and we have offices in Antigo, Marshfield, Merrill, Wausau, and Wisconsin Rapids.
