Purpose of Position:

Review new volunteer applications and reassign to Apopka schedule manager or WG schedule manager, depending on the applicant's preferred location. Check for new foster volunteer applications, schedule and conduct phone interviews with these applicants, and reassign their applications to Candy or the foster coordinator after approving.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Post volunteer roles on Volunteer Match.
  • Create Facebook ads to recruit specific volunteer roles.
  • Update the volunteer page on the website when needed.
  • Update the general/foster volunteer applications on the website when needed.
  • Check for new foster volunteer applications, schedule and conduct phone interviews with these applicants, and reassign their applications to Candy or the foster coordinator after approving.
  • Schedule and conduct phone interviews with applicants for other special volunteer roles.
  • Contact applicant before reassigning them, if anything in their application needs to be clarified.
  • Check personal CCI inbox frequently to respond to questions from volunteers and give them updates.
  • Coordinate with the Volunteer Program Assessment group to complete that project.
  • Provide a short report on volunteer recruitment and onboarding ahead of each board meeting.

Description

Candy's Cat s Inc. (CCI) was founded and incorporated in 2005 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, no-kill cat rescue. Based in Apopka FL, CCI has volunteers and foster homes spread across 3 Central Florida counties. Since 2005 CCI has saved thousands of cats and has built a solid reputation in the community. The CCI team is passionate about saving cats. The rescue has active adoption programs with two pet stores, a fundraising program that finances the organization, and a TNR program that helps the feral cats in the community.
