Mission Statement

We believe in community at Morgan, and we are committed to building a culture where any human can flourish: children and families, faculty, staff, and community members. In order to intentionally dismantle oppressive structures in the world, we must model strong community so that our children can go out and build it in their world. Children require love, acceptance, grace, and opportunities to try again after falling down.

Description

We are a lab school, where pioneering teachers create a dual-language, anti-racist curriculum to build academic excellence, happy kids, and a better world.

We dare to dream big at Morgan. We dare to be rebellious and resist and participate at Morgan. Atlanta doesn't need another private school. Atlanta needs to start another movement. A movement that begins with education.

We partner with universities and non-profits, researchers and experts. We want smaller, more community centered schools like ours, where teachers are paid what they deserve, baseless standardized tests are not the focus, folks live and work in the neighborhood, and families know and support each other.

We have partnered with organizations such as Inter Atlanta, Defend Southern Food, We Society, Transcend Design Schools, Freedom Dream Labs and countless local artists and non profits in order to create bridges, share resources and build out smart impactful programming centering marginalized communities and people of color.
