The Community Services for Families (CSF) Program promotes child safety, child well-being and stable living environments for children through home-based parent education and case management services. Home Start's program was recently renewed and is being expanded across the county. Weekly administrative support is needed to help case managers be able to provide services to more clients and help with group-based parenting enrollments.
Volunteers must have self care in place for this position. This position is ideal for a student interested in exploring social work as a career, or a retired social worker.
Duties and Responsibilities:
File all charts and documents, keeping them secured in a locked cabinet when not in use.
Data entry, managing and maintaining effective record keeping.
Review case files for accuracy to meet program audit standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Understanding that you will be working with child abuse cases daily - Must have self care in place.
Able to provide support, structure, empathy, sound judgement, insight into human behavior, and family relations.
Must have a reliable transportation to office.
Time Commitment:
Must be able to commit 2-6 hours / week on a regular schedule during business hours
