We are looking for Volunteer GED Teachers!

Are you...

Looking for remote teaching experience?

Interested in supporting adult students who are close to obtaining their GED?

Excited about math?

You might be a good candidate for teaching GED math with Community Impact's FastTrack Math classes! We are starting a new session that will run from the end of April to the end of June and are looking for teachers. Candidates are expected to be able to commit to teaching 3 days per week with a set curriculum. They should be able to commit to 2 hours of class each day and at least 1 hour of prep work per week.

If you are interested, please send an email to hse@communityimpact.columbia.edu with

  1. your resume,
  2. the time of day you are interested in teaching (either 10am-12pm or 6pm-8pm),
  3. and a few dates and times you are available for a Zoom meeting.

After that, you should receive a response within 48 hours from Nikita, the HSE Teacher Coordinator for Community Impact. We look forward to working with you!

*All classes are remote. Sessions are over Zoom and other information is communicated via Google Classroom. Volunteers are expected to have a stable internet connection and a device on which they can use the two platforms.*
