This job entails being the assistant to an awesome Black Power Blueprint administrator.
The job is dynamic and fast paced. You must be creative, innovative, and ready to take decisive action.
This work involves empowering the Black/African Community politically, culturally and, most importantly, economically. The African/Black Community must be able to feed, house, and clothe itself. This brings about the self confidence and power of being independent and self-sufficient.
Your tasks will be those assigned to you by the administrator and whatever creative and innovative ideas come to your mind to help forward this amazing work! Come join us and help to bring true liberation/Uhuru to the Black/African community.
Uhuru is a swahili word that means freedom! The Black Power Blueprint programs are transforming North St. Louis through renovation, economic development and political power by and for the black community.
The Black Power Blueprint programs in St. Louis include the Gary Brooks Community Garden, the One Africa! One Nation! Farmers Market, the African Doula Project, the African Independence Workforce Program, the Uhuru Community Basketball Court and much more. All of these programs are designed to address disparities faced by the African community in health, education and economic development.
