As a private, nonprofit organization, the Humane Society of Summit County relies heavily on the assistance of volunteers to help rescue nearly 2,700 animals. We take in the severely sick and injured stray animals of Summit County, and with your help we strive to find these animals their forever families.

As a Dog Care Volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work directly with dogs to make their stay at the shelter more comfortable and less stressful. Duties include cleaning kennels, walking, feeding, dishes, and laundry as assigned. Orientation and training provided. One 2-hour shift per week required.
