ORGANIZATION: DENISON ANIMAL WELFARE GROUP INC

Dawg House inside and outside dog support as needed.

Inside: kennel cleaning & prep, laundry, mopping, dishes, and may also assist with showing dogs to potential adopters and completing adoptions. Assist individuals who want to take a dog out for a foster field trip. Medication management and administration.

Outside: dog walking, play-yard supervision/cleaning, outside kennel cleaning, trash/litter pick-up

  • morning / 07:00 AM to 09:00 AM
  • afternoon / 12:00 PM to 02:00 PM
  • evening / 05:00 PM to 07:00 PM

Mission Statement

To develop a successful adoption program for the abused, neglected, abandoned, or unwanted animals within the city of Denison, Texas. To eliminate the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable animals. To develop a network of partners and businesses to fund this endeavor, and to create an organization that oversees animal welfare within the city of Denison. To raise funds to pay for veterinary care and fees associated with animal rescue.

Description

DAWG is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of pets in need. DAWG was established in 2014.

  • Must be at least 16
  • 1-2 Hours
  • Volunteers must be age 16 or over and sign a liability release (under 18 must have parent signature). Volunteers under the age of 16 will be considered, but must be accompanied at all times by a parent/guardian who must also sign a liability release
