Apply today to be a Summer Youth Program Activities Assistant volunteer to a Carroll Center student. Volunteers will participate in our summer youth programs with teenagers who are blind or visually impaired. Our summer students participate in various activities both on our Newton campus and on local outings. Some examples might include archery, arts and crafts, sports, music, water fun, cooking and so much more!

Established in 1936, The Carroll Center has pioneered many innovative services for the blind and visually impaired. We have developed many methods for people with low vision to learn the skills to be independent in their homes, in class settings, and in their work places. Our services for the blind include vision rehabilitation services, vocational and transition programs, assistive technology training, educational support and recreation opportunities for individuals who are visually impaired of all ages. For over 70 years, The Carroll Center staff has provided help for the blind for thousands of blind and vision impaired persons with diverse opportunities for success and independent living.
