Step Out is the signature fundraising event of the American Diabetes Association as it highlights the importance of physical activity in preventing and managing diabetes. 2022 marks the 31st anniversary of Step Out, which has made an impact in the lives of millions of people living with diabetes and their families.
Our Step Out: Philadelphia will take place on Saturday, October 15th at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. We are seeking volunteers to join our Planning Committee to assist in work leading up to and on event day. We will be meeting monthly (virtually) to discuss the event and specific tasks to ensure success. Tasks will include marketing/promotion, soliciting donations for day of event needs such as food, water, entertainment, etc., and recruiting fundraising participants. This is a great opportunity to have your voice heard in making our event educational and fun for the Greater Philadelphia community. All while supporting the great mission of the American Diabetes Association.
