MySuspire, Inc is a grassroots mental health organization empowering people and their communities by providing tools: to achieve mental clarity, emotional stability, and a better quality of life. Our vision is that the world may be a realistic and relatable trauma-informed mentally healthy community. We engage in highly skilled, trauma-informed and culturally sensitive; intervention, education, and awareness to facilitate lasting impact in our community and the community at large.

• Intervention (Be seen) -Increase access to trauma informed mental health awareness and intervention.
• Awareness (Be heard) -Decrease stigmas associated with mental health illness and intervention with emphasis in centering and representing BIQTPOC, underserved/ marginalized, and other nontraditional / non mainstream communities.
• Education(Be Shameless) - Educate and create opportunities in trauma informed mental health skill building.

Mysuspire, Inc has 3 openings for volunteer working members of it’s esteemed Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will be a person who can demonstrate professionalism in work and personal deportment, ethics in decision making, and autonomy. The ideal candidate is also someone who is passionate about bettering the lives of others and mental health.

The board ensures the organizations compliance and efficacy in strategic planning and direction, fiduciary oversight, fundraising and awareness, and supporting the Executive Director in managing the day-to-day operations of the organization.

Requirements:

Mysuspire, Inc is looking for an individual who has completed a terminal degree and/or certification in any education program. We support a well-rounded Board Of Directors and desire professionals from all walks of life and disciplines.

The ideal candidate must be able and eligible to provide unrestricted consultation and occasional professional assistance as regulated by their local board or governance and licensing body.

It is a requirement that each applicant provides reliable access to the internet, a cell phone, and a computer.

Minimum weekly requirement: .25 hours. The board will meet 4x a year.

Qualifications:

• 18 y/o+
• Terminal Degree, Certificate, Licensure - or on-track (post graduate) with such.
• Have technology that is internet accessible, and hold the ability to troubleshoot minor technical issues.
• Willing and able to learn MySuspire’s Mission| Vision |Values - and share in its growth.
• Self-identify with Mental Health ups and downs or as an ally of Mental Health
• Willing and able to participate with remote team and learn technologies to do so
• Able and willing to learn and participate in MH education/work
• Able to dedicate 4 hours/quarter to MySuspire’s governance and operations
• Experience or strong desire to support the organization in:
• Fund development
• Event management/planning
• Strategic planning
• Communications (social media and otherwise)
• Marketing
• Budgeting
• Finance
• Legal expertise

Job Description & General Duties:

• The board meets 4 times a year (once a quarter - roughly every 3 months) - including the annual meeting where reports are conducted and the yearly audit is reviewed.
• The meetings are held virtually and last about 1.5 hours.
• Each position is held for 3 years and the term of service will begin once installed.
• The meetings utilize Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised.
• Each member is a working member of the board - meaning that participating and supporting, actively, the role or roles that may be held on the board is required.
• Being on the board means upholding and contributing to the organization and its mission, vision, values.
• The goal of this organization is to spread the message that mental health matters and to have fun while doing so!
