Datlas is seeking Blog Writer volunteers with an interest in writing about subjects related to data science and food access. Your contributions will help us create and launch the Food-Access Hub to feed the hungry. The Food-Access Hub optimizes the food access supply chain by leveraging the power of machine learning and predictive analytics technology. We are working to connect the supply chain and community together to empower food access organizations in their efforts to increase food security and feed the hungry. All levels of experience are welcome, and some level of training can be provided. Skill-sets we are looking for include but are not limited to: Communication and writing skills, academic research article analysis, critical thinking, source validation

Knowledge about data science practices and current trends is a plus, though not required.
This is not an exhaustive list and we are also welcoming of all ideas and contributions. If each volunteer can bring one or two skills, then together we will cover all needed skills. Blog Writer Tasks

• Generating, researching, and pitching ideas for posts.
• Keeping up to date with latest trends in: Data Science, Machine Learning, Food-Access Technologies
• Writing, editing, publishing, and promoting content.
• Promoting new posts using advertisements, emails, social media, and other methods to alert and attract new readers.
• Advocating and educating others about interests, products, or services.
• Maximizing site traffic by utilizing Search Engine Optimization keywords.
• Inviting other bloggers, experts, or other notable guests to contribute content to the webpage.
• Monitoring responses to posts via the website, social media, or other platforms to better understand the audience.
• Staying current on industry trends for possible opportunities to attract new readers or create stronger, more engaging content
