ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross - Greater New York Region

American Red Cross is looking for great leaders to provide leadership and perform logistics duties during preparedness, response, and recovery within its service area in NYC. This is the perfect opportunity for volunteers who want to be out in their communities, help with special events, offer administrative support, work independently as well as with a team, and work with logistics!

Requirements:

  • Volunteers applying for in-person position assignments must be fully vaccinated

Responsibilities:

  • Execute the logistics program within the region
  • Work on vehicle tracking, acquisition of materials, facilities, and warehousing
  • Maintain a list of all fleet vehicles, ensuring routine maintenance is completed on all vehicles and maintaining service records
  • Ordering supplies
  • Facility inspections
  • Local procurement
  • Storing supplies

Time Commitment:

  • Daytime (during business hours), Monday through Friday
  • Respond to disasters that happen every day
  • Volunteer in the office
