We are looking for passionate Healthcare Professionals to come and join our exciting team in India! Nurses, Doctors, Dentists, Pharmacists, Psychologists are welcome.

Being a Volunteer at Kalkeri Sangeet Vidyalaya (KSV) is an incredibly rewarding experience and a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and their families here in Kalkeri.

At KSV, our students' health and well-being is our priority. We use a range of treatment, including natural remedies, to boost their immune system and protect the children from diseases and infections. We believe that prevention is better than cure, so our hygiene standards on campus are strict.

Our Volunteer Healthcare Professionals monitor the children daily, they provide medical treatment and follow-up examinations to the children who need it, with the support of the School Wardens. They keep the kids' medical files up-to-date and they collect online information about potential risks, seasonal diseases and various infections. The Volunteer HP also takes children to the hospital / dental practice in Dharwad when necessary.

Volunteers can also share their knowledge and passion for community projects by running workshops about general health, personal hygiene and the human body.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor children's health at the "Bobo House" (our infirmary) twice a day
• Prepare and give treatments (iron, vitamins) to all children on a rolling basis
• Prescribe medication and treatments when necessary
• Keep the kids' medical files up-to-date on the Bobo PC
• Arrange hospital and dental visits
• Keep the "Bobo House" clean and tidy

Requirements:

• Minimum commitment of 6 months
• Healthcare State Diploma: Nursing, Doctor, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Psychology - essential
• Professional experience in Healthcare and First Aid certificate
• Interest in child care and child development
• Good interpersonal skills
• Patience
• Problem-solving and proactive personality
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to take initiatives and to work independently
• Open-mindedness about alternative medicine
