The Kansas City Public Library's Tech Access team is searching for compassionate Tech Coach volunteers to help teach basic digital literacy skills virtually and in-person for disadvantaged adults at multiple library locations.
If you can send an e-mail, create and edit a document, and use a search engine to find answers - you already have all the skills you need to be a Tech Coach volunteer!
Tech Coach opportunities include, but are not limited to:
- 1-on-1 appointments
- Drop-in sessions
- Classes/workshops
- Events
Kansas City Public Library Tech Coaches have the flexibility to customize their schedule by accepting service opportunities based on their availability. Drop-in sessions can be scheduled regularly based on your availability. All Tech Coach will receive orientation and training prior to service.
We are especially looking for volunteers to offer drop-in sessions at the following locations:
- Bluford Branch
- Northeast Branch
- Plaza Branch
- Southeast Branch
- Waldo Branch

- Tech Coach volunteers are given the flexibility to schedule their own availability and service hours by working with the volunteer coordinator. We ask for a minimum commitment of 4 service hours per month for 6 months.
