Step Together Volunteering
helps people who are excluded from society to participate in volunteering and build a more positive future. With a generous donation from the Pilgrim Trust, we are piloting a new programme to connect women and girls whose lives are affected by the criminal justice system across Greater Manchester.

Our new volunteer peer mentors will have lived experienced of the criminal justice system and through their shared knowledge of the barriers to living happy and fulfilling lives, they will support our clients into volunteering opportunities that will help them overcome the challenges they face and achieve positive future destinations.

Lived experience of the criminal justice system is essential for this role.

Does this resonate with you? Are you in a good place and ready to help others?

If you can spare a couple of hours a week, we would love to hear from you.

Full training provided.

About Step Together Volunteering

Location:

Suite 333, 179 Whiteladies Road, Bristol, bs8 2ag, GB

Mission Statement

We are a charity that helps the most vulnerable people through volunteering. We never give up on our clients. We support them until they have the self-confidence and skills they need to look forward to a better, brighter future.

Description

We help people who are excluded from society to participate in volunteering and build a more positive future for themselves. We have three client groups: Young People, Ex-Offenders, and WIS / Army Veterans. All of our clients can be described as having complex needs. We define complex needs as 'two or more issues affecting physical, mental, social or financial wellbeing’. We don’t have a time limit for our support; we work flexibly to meet the individual needs of every person we help. Our head office is based in Bristol, but we operate nationally.
