Native Here Nursery
Tucked away in beautiful Tilden Park, Native Here Nursery is a great place to spend some quality time!

Work closely with committed naturalists and activists of the East Bay Chapter of California Native Plant Society to gain knowledge of the East Bay's flora through hikes, study of plants in the wild, horticultural and restoration activities. We are looking for volunteers to assist with every aspect of our work. Field trips are monthly, from a few hours to all day. Restoration activities may be planned as often as monthly and require moderate physical labor, often weed removal from threatened native plant habitats. Seed collecting field trips are held weekly May through October on Tuesday mornings. Propagation from seeds, potting and caring for young plants, nursery maintenance and sales take place at Native Here Nursery in Tilden Park, at 101 Golf Course Road, Berkeley. Transit Info to the Nursery: AC Transit #65 to Grizzly Peak/Shasta Gate or AC Transit #67 to the Brazil Building, Tilden Park. Both bus stops are about .5 mile from the nursery. Rides from the stops can be arranged. Rare Plant, Unusual Plant and Vegetation Committees of the East Bay Chapter CNPS need assistance during the field season.
