Volunteers for Eden Hospice are "hands off" meaning you would never be asked to move a patient, feed a patient, administer medications or provide personal care. Our volunteers provide companionship, go grocery shopping, do a little light cooking, cleaning or yardwork or sometimes provide brief respite (1-4 hours) for a family member. You choose what you would like to do! Our number one need is companionship as many of our patients live alone or have few visitors if they live in a facility.
We are also seeking volunteers to sew, crochet or knit items to donate to our patients. Blankets, shawls, pillows, stuffed animals and fidget blankets would be loved by our patients. If you are interested you can donate your own materials or we are happy to provide them for you.
We have opportunities in Carson City, Reno, Sparks, Fernley, Fallon, Dayton, Minden, Gardnerville, Smith, Yerington, Lovelock and Hawthorne.

Eden hospice strives to be the best hospice in Reno and the surrounding areas. We are proud to have been chosen as Nevada Donor Network's Partner of the Year in 2018 and again in 2019. We were also the recipient of the Best Reno Hospice Award in 2019. We are also currently certified as A Great Place To Work (Feb 2020-Feb 2021.
