This volunteer would be experienced in and be able to:

  • Manage a fundraising strategy for a newly formed nonprofit focused on urban development.
  • Lead staff in executing strategies and events for promotion, awareness and fundraising
  • Manage a donor base

Responsibilities include:
  • Working with Marketing Director/treasurer to determine a budget
  • Managing and recruiting volunteers, planning, and organizing events, developing donors, grant writing, and creating effective strategies for maximizing donations.
  • Work with Board/staff to understand our mission, vision and strategic plan.
  • Will work with volunteer team
  • Must be a team player with the flexibility and ability to work independently

Description

Women’s Innovative Social Enterprise (WISE) Partnership is a 501(c)(3) social purpose business development nonprofit. W.I.S.E. Partnership is composed of Detroit social entrepreneurs and non-profit leaders. As a Black women-led organization, our goal is to maintain holistic development, environmental sustainability, food insecurity solutions, workforce training and development, youth development, and literacy support together in one accessible and culturally diverse place. Our developments will provide architecturally designed, meditative green spaces.
