Volunteer shifts range a lot based on daily needs of the critters. Farm life is very unpredictable! Our volunteers have helped with everything from flipping stalls, cleaning spaces, building infrastructure, helping with health checks and animal needs. Going forward we will need volunteers who are interested in learning to grow food, and would like to spend time on the farm side of the organization.

Mission Statement
Happy Compromise Farm + Sanctuary works to create connection between animals, humans, and our planet. We rescue and provide forever homes for both farmed and companion animals; grow food for our community through veganic, regenerative/conservation agriculture; and advocate for humans to make sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle decisions. We invite visitors to the farm to connect with exploited animals on an individual level while also getting back to nature. Our overarching goal is to create a fair and safe world for all marginalized beings. As an LGBTQ founded and led nonprofit, we also work to eradicate systems of oppression and ensure the sanctuary is a safe space for all marginalized beings.
Description
Happy Compromise Farm + Sanctuary recently relocated to the Southern Tier of New York from Oregon due to the worsening wildfires situation on the West Coast. We are currently starting the farm from scratch, continually setting up infrastructure for all of the animal residents, and establishing the organization in the community. Eventually, we hope to be able to offer beautiful gardens that are accessible to everyone to provide food for our neighbors in need and also to host events. Since our founding in 2019, we have rescued more than 120 animals and hope to continue to be able to rescue more in the future, but we need volunteer help to do so.
