Low Entropy is a registered charity that focuses on mental health, community building, and connection through authenticity. We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic volunteers to join our Virtual Community Builders team as an Event Planner!
As an Event Planning member, you will be joining an amazing team of kind, supportive and creative people who come together to create virtual events for the Low Entropy community. Your responsibilities include attending weekly brainstorming meetings via Zoom and collaborating with team members to plan and promote the events. There will also be opportunities to be an Event Lead where you will be responsible for overseeing the entire planning and organization of an event, as well as opportunities to facilitate or host an event. This position is completely remote and can be flexible with other commitments or schedules.
No previous experience is required. Each event that we put on is a team effort. If you can offer commitment, passion, and new ideas, then we want you on our team!
Responsibilities:
- Working with a team to brainstorm new event ideas
- Organizing and scheduling upcoming events
- Connecting with our community and participating in our upcoming events
- Facilitating group events via Zoom
Qualifications:
* Organized and motivated
* Creative and detail-oriented
* Ability to collaborate and work well in a team as well as independently
