Food Pantries are a meaningful resource in our community, and pantry managers provide a point of stability and welcome through weekly hosting and coordination of pantry operations. Pantry Managers:
- Maintain a professional attitude and offer customer service
- Provide coordination, direction and support to volunteer teams and clients at our food pantries
- Organize weekly unloading of ACCESS food deliveries into their pantry location along with setup and break-down.
- Create useful communication in the form of signs, emails, phone calls and face-to-face interaction before/after and during pantry hours
- Coordinate with ACCESS staff on food orders, volunteer participation and any areas in need of support at the pantry.

Description
ACCESS provides services in our community to low-income families, senior citizens and other individuals in need of assistance. As the Community Action Agency for Jackson County, ACCESS works closely with all other social service organizations in our community. The wide array of programs include nutrition programs, housing development and other assistance with housing needs, family counseling, energy assistance, energy conservation and weatherization, and other educational programs, services to senior citizens, and a medical equipment loan program.
ACCESS and its programs depend on a variety of different funding sources including grants from federal, state, local governments, private foundations, fee for service, and most importantly, community donations.

- Pantry Managers may need approximately 6-8 hours per week to set-up, coordinate and break down pantry operations which are held once weekly for approx. 2-4 hours depending on the location.
- Pantry Managers provide direction for a team of volunteers and are a point of contact, information and welcome to the community. Ability to maintain professional attitude. Communication/people skills are valuable.
