Warm Weather Kits!

Assist those living outdoors, in our shelters, and in our supportive housing programs to stay cool during days with extreme heat, and dry during rainy periods. Extreme weather can put our clients and guests at risk for illness. Having items like rain ponchos and umbrellas to shield clothing from getting wet during daily travel to and from sites, or sunscreen and aloe vera to protect and soothe sun burns during long periods of sun exposure can be especially helpful.

Kits can include some or all of the following:

• Rain poncho
• Umbrella
• Sunscreen (face and full-body)
• Reusable cold gel packs
• Reusable water bottle (or bottled water)
• Electrolyte/hydration packets
• Aloe Vera gel
• Hand-held fan (batteries included)

We recommend packing these in re-usable bags (e.g., drawstring, polyester totes, etc.).
