Do you have experience in advertising for societies and other non-profits, and are looking for a way to help support a genealogical society? The Illinois State Genealogical Society is looking for an Advertising Chair! The Advertising Chair promotes ISGS publications, and solicits opportunities for advertisements in the ISGS Quarterly (published 4 times a year), ISGS Newsletter (published 6 times a year), and Fall Conference syllabus. The Advertising Chair also reviews current ad pricing and options periodically, to ensure the Society is keeping up with current trends. The Advertising Chair also files activity reports, attends ISGS Governing Board meetings, and other meetings when requested. This position can be managed remotely! To encourage and support local and regional genealogical societies.
Description
The Illinois State Genealogical Society (ISGS) was formed in 1968 through the cooperative effort and forward thinking of Illinois genealogical society representatives, who envisioned a statewide genealogical organization. ISGS is a not-for-profit, nonsectarian, educational organization, with members from Illinois and worldwide. ISGS supports local Associate Member societies throughout the state, and has a unique partnership with the Illinois State Archives. ISGS promotes genealogical education and our motto is, "Honoring Illinois Ancestors."
