Are you great at organization, or have experience managing digital archives? You can assist the Illinois State Genealogical Society with the inventory of our digital records! The ISGS Digital Asset Manager will monitor the digital assets of the organization. Duties include heading projects such as the digitization of the ISGS Quarterly archives, ISGS meeting minutes, and other ISGS archived items. The Digital Asset Manager will create a uniform file formatting and digitizing process, and assist other ISGS committees with digitization projects as needed. The Digital Asset Manager also files activity reports, attends ISGS Governing Board meetings, and other meetings when requested. This position can be done remotely, however onsite scanning projects may need to be coordinated at the ISGS office located in Springfield, IL. Description

The Illinois State Genealogical Society (ISGS) was formed in 1968 through the cooperative effort and forward thinking of Illinois genealogical society representatives, who envisioned a statewide genealogical organization. ISGS is a not-for-profit, nonsectarian, educational organization, with members from Illinois and worldwide. ISGS supports local Associate Member societies throughout the state, and has a unique partnership with the Illinois State Archives. ISGS promotes genealogical education and our motto is, "Honoring Illinois Ancestors."
