Do you have a talent for event planning? The Illinois State Genealogical Society is looking for a Chair (or co-Chair) for its 2022 Conference Committee! The ISGS Fall Conference will be held virtually in late October 2022. Duties of the Conference Chair include contracting speakers, creating publicity, designing conference materials, recruiting volunteers, and working within Conference budget. The Conference Committee Chair handles the necessary logistics for all virtual events, with the assistance of the members of the Conference committee. The Conference Chair also files activity reports, schedules Conference Committee meetings, and attends ISGS Governing Board meetings. This position can be done virtually! Description
The Illinois State Genealogical Society (ISGS) was formed in 1968 through the cooperative effort and forward thinking of Illinois genealogical society representatives, who envisioned a statewide genealogical organization. ISGS is a not-for-profit, nonsectarian, educational organization, with members from Illinois and worldwide. ISGS supports local Associate Member societies throughout the state, and has a unique partnership with the Illinois State Archives. ISGS promotes genealogical education and our motto is, "Honoring Illinois Ancestors."
