Would you like to share your music with others?
Do you play the guitar, ukelele, harp or similar instrument? Would you like to share your talent with an individual hospice patient?
Pillars Hospice home is looking for someone to play music one-on-one with patients in our home. Time varies by patient, but evenings and weekends are of particular need.
We are an eight bed home in Oakdale that provides care to hospice patients and their families. Our goal is to provide an environment that is peaceful and supportive in their end-of-life journey.
In-depth training on general hospice information and specific Pillars policies will be given.
Volunteers add a special layer of comfort and music in particular is something many of our patients would enjoy.

Established in April 2000, The Pillars Hospice Home takes its name from the spiritual pillars of faith, hope and love. It is a residential hospice where end-of-life needs are met with compassionate, respectful care. Beautifully situated on a four-acre wooded lot in Oakdale, our eight private suites with individual patios, offer patients, families and visitors a peaceful environment and home-like atmosphere.
Description
Volunteers are an integral part of Pillars and offer a wide variety of opportunities to support patients and their loved ones. Whether it is making meals, baking cookies, assisting in patient care, greeting visitors, answer the phone or gardening, volunteers give comfort and help to everyone. All volunteers will have in-depth training, consistent support and flexible schedules.
