ORGANIZATION: NATIONAL YOUTH BIKE COUNCIL

Image_202203160432

We are a youth-led non-profit that creates a space for our peers to feel empowered and have the tools, leadership skills, and youth role models necessary to be leaders in their own community. We are in need of branding-awareness assistance.

The following would help us:
- The ability to tell stories (via blog, vlogs, articles, or photos)
- Collaborate with others
- Provide feedback on the Council's current brand efforts
- Help configure and maintain the core messaging material of our brand

Our volunteers (we call Advisors) help us in their areas of expertise, giving around 4 hours a month to specific functions for keeping the council running. This position is for Branding manager and would support our internal efforts. Each year the council does 2 annual national-level projects, decided on by the council. We want to keep the youth doing the annual projects and not focused on the administrative/operational aspects of the council. See our past projects: www.nybcouncil.com/projects

Is this position not a match for you? Maybe someone you know may be better suited for it, refer them to this volunteer position!

Mission Statement

To drive, promote, and advocate for cycling, bike safety, education, and youth leadership. We want to create more youth leaders, using the bicycle do to so.

Description

We are looking for monthly volunteers who would be willing to dedicated around 4 hours a month to the council (give or take).

We are split our aids into two groups: resources and advisors. Our Advisors are dedicated resources and direct adult assistance while our resources are our helpful aids that provide assistance when they can.

Every year the Council does two projects that the youth council decides on. This initiative is fully youth-led with the purpose of creating space for young people in the cycling communities to be able to connect, share ideas/resources and create leaders using bicycles to do so.
