Recruiting Organization: Holden Village

During scheduled shifts, a Seasonal Cook (Summer Lead Cook) is responsible for the safe and sanitary preparation of meals, including coordination of tasks for kitchen volunteers. Of course, this position includes baking Holden's signature bread and providing ideas for unique culinary creations. Cooks work under the supervision of the Food Service Lead. Room and board is provided along with a monthly stipend of $350. All Holden staff members are provided with limited internet access. Benefits to staff members also include the use of Holden's facilities including sauna, Jacuzzi, pool hall and bowling alley, art and pottery studios, ice cream shop, and library and access to Holden's programming such as teaching sessions and art and pottery classes. Seasonal and 1-year opportunities are available for this role. Room & board and a monthly stipend are included with a 3-5 seasonal summer commitment. Room, board, health insurance and other benefits are included with a 1-year commitment.
