Thank you for your interest in providing meals to families at Family Supportive Housing. We are available for meals to be delivered or cooked and served for breakfast, lunch, or dinner on weekends and dinners on weekdays. Meal Team groups (typically 5-7 people) create a menu, grocery shop, cook, and serve meals to residents or they can have a meal delivered to FSH. The minimum age requirement to help in the kitchen is 12 years old with adult supervision.
BREAKFAST TEAMS
Provide a hot breakfast to our residents on a Saturday or Sunday morning. Family Supportive Housing has a full service kitchen. You may prepare your meal onsite or bring it ready to serve. Typical breakfast dishes: eggs, bacon, ham, fruits, and juice. Other ideas include pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, grits, sausage, French toast etc. Breakfast is served from 7:00am-8:30am.
LUNCH TEAMS
Provide a hot lunch to our residents on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Family Supportive Housing has a full service kitchen. You may prepare your meal onsite or bring it ready to serve. Typical dishes: chili, chicken, pasta, casseroles, pizza, hotdogs, salad, vegetables, bread, rolls or tortillas, etc. Lunch is served from 12:00pm-1:00pm.
DINNER TEAMS
Provide a hot dinner to our residents on a weekday, Saturday, Sunday, and/or a holiday. Family Supportive Housing has a full service kitchen. You may prepare your meal onsite, or bring it ready to serve. Typical dishes include: chicken, pasta, casseroles, pizza, roast beef, vegetables, rolls, burritos, dessert, etc. Dinner is served from 5:00pm-6:30pm.

Family Supportive Housing provides temporary shelter and supportive services for homeless famlies in Santa Clara County to empower the families to move out of homelessness to independent, self-sufficient living in our community.
Description
San Jose Family Shelter provides temporary housing for 35 families for up to 90 days. In addition to shelter and meals, the program also provides on-going intensive case management which identifies and responds to the needs of the clients, on-site child care, on-site Head Start, tutoring, computer lab, classes for parents and children, after school activities, clothes closet, job readiness skills, job referrals, housing readiness classes and ousing referrals and assistance are also offered.
