NARN’s virtual book club was launched at the beginning of the pandemic to try to help facilitate community when we needed it the most. We enjoyed it so much that we want to keep it going! We’re seeking a few volunteers who would be interested in facilitating our book club events, hosting your favorite book or a whole series of books.

Our book club events, thus far, have been focused on intersectional issues and have provided space for challenging and fruitful conversations on issues relating to social justice and animal rights. NARN has a list of titles we’re excited to explore, or perhaps you have a book in mind that would fit this bill?

About NORTHWEST ANIMAL RIGHTS NETWORK

Location:

1037 NE 65TH ST, SEATTLE, WA 98115, US

Mission Statement

The Northwest Animal Rights Network advocates for the rights of all sentient beings--the right to choose, to be free from oppression and exploitation--by pursuing campaigns, facilitating education, and connecting Pacific Northwest organizations

Description

Our efforts include outreach, demonstrations, litigation, and educational events. We also advocate that veganism is the best and most consistent way to respect the lives of animals; by rejecting the support of products and companies that deny them their inherent rights to live a life of freedom and fulfillment of their interests, it is the living practice of animal rights.
