Description

New Life Medical Service Dogs was formed in 2017 to address community concerns about a lack of trained and affordable service dogs. We are an all volunteer organizaton.

The Partner Training Program has adults with disabilities work alongside our trainer to teach their own dog to mitigate their disability. Fully trained servcie dogs are placed with local residents . We work with all types of disabilities except total blindness.

In 2018 an even bigger need was identified - access in the community. Service Dog Alliance of Florida was created as the education arm of New Life Medical Service Dogs to serve the entire state. Services for service dog handlers, businesses, government, and community organizations focus on eliminating barriers to access and discrimination. Services include Information and referral, education on rights and responsibilities, mediation, and advocacy.
