Mission Statement
Doylestown Health Hospice treasures our volunteers as they help bring our comprehensive services to patients and their loved ones. We have up to 30 volunteers any given time, assisting with errands, visiting with patients, handling administrative tasks as well as other valuable tasks. Volunteer services are available to patients in their home, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living or hospital setting. Our Hospice Volunteer Coordinator expertly trains volunteers to ensure that the new volunteer feels comfortable and thoroughly understands their roles and responsibilities. Volunteers will have fingerprinting and background checks prior to any patient care.
Description
Hospice Volunteers enroll in our Hospice program for a very special reason: to provide dignity and quality of life to patients and their families. Whether the volunteer provides music therapy, respite, art therapy, or just a listening ear they are here to help.
