Join Foster Grandparents today and assist children in your communities develop critical academic and life skills through mentoring and tutoring in local schools and community-based programs. You have what it takes, no formal experience required. Training will be provided.
The Foster Grandparent program needs volunteers to work one-on-one with children to mentor the student in an educational setting and work on socializing, social etiquette, basic reading, basic math, etc. The Foster Grandparent program is designed to assist in preventing children from falling behind.
As a Foster Grandparent, you’ll help children in your community develop the academic and life skills that are critical to their development and future successes. Sharing your time and experience can help children learn how to read, prepare younger students for school readiness, tackle tough subjects, and make decisions that keep them on the right path. We’ll match your skills and passions to opportunities that interest you, including those in local schools, youth facilities, early childhood education and day care centers.
Volunteering just 5 hours a week could make a major difference in a child’s life!

Description
ND Senior Career Development (NDSCD) headquartered in Dickinson ND was established in March 2017 as a non-profit organization created to help North Dakotans. Currently we are advertising for the Foster Grandparent Program. This program recruits’ people 55 and older from local areas to volunteer in the schools and work one-on-one with at-risk children. This program’s goal is to enhance the child’s educational experience and assist the teacher with their educational objective.
