Home fires claim seven lives every day, together we can change that. We know that working smoke alarms can decrease the risk of a home fire death by 50% and in the event of a home fire, you may have as little as just two minutes to escape a burning home.
This is why on Saturday May 14th, we’re offering free home fire safety information and smoke alarm installations, as it’s safe to do so, in the community of Reading. We would like to ask you to join the American Red Cross in helping to ensure our neighbors are safe and prepared. That includes helping families to create an escape plan to practice their 2-minute drill and installing smoke alarms in homes we visit.
This event will be held rain or shine on May 14, 2022 at the Reading Red Cross Office - 701 Center Ave. Reading, PA 19602 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
