ORGANIZATION: USDA Forest Service

The Sutton Bluff Recreation Area is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors. The Campground and sheltered picnic area, available for individual families or large groups in the Mark Twain National Forest. The area provides ample opportunities for camping, picnicking, hiking, fishing, swimming and more.


Group picnic area pavilion: $25/day. Campsite (Non-Electric): $10.00 single and $20 double sites, single electric $20. double electric is $30. One Group Campsite $40 group site limit 40.

Campground Camping

Sutton Bluff Recreation Area opens March through October, has 15 single sites, 20 double sites, and 1 group sites, each with table, fire ring, lantern post parking spur. Potable water and vault and flush toilets are conveniently located. Hot showers available and pressurized water hydrants available in central locations.

RV Camping


Can accommodated up to 40' RVs. with electric no water hookup, or dump station facilities. Sites are available for reservations through www.recreation.gov, or by calling 877-444-6777.


Group Camping

1 group camp sites which can accommodate up to 40 people each and is available for reservations at www.recreation.gov.


Directions:

From Ironton Mo. take Highway 72 west for approximately 25 miles look for sign for Sutton Bluff turn right on Karkaghne Scenic Drive take for 6 miles following sign into recreation area.
