Volunteer as a Big, or mentor, to Elizabeth: a creative fifth-grader living in Somerville who enjoys drawing and crafts. Some of Elizabeth’s favorite activities are swimming, gymnastics, reading, board games, and building with Legos. They love their cat (and all animals)! They are an empathetic person with a commitment to social justice.
Elizabeth is looking for a lesbian, nonbinary Big who is an artist. The ideal match would be an energetic and animated volunteer who is clear in their nonverbal communication. Volunteers of all religions, races, ethnicities, abilities, and backgrounds are welcome!
Bigs commit to meeting with their Littles twice/month for at least a year. LGBTQ+ Program includes trainings and meetups. Match support is provided by social workers with experience working with children and families. Apply now ( www.jbbbs.org/volunteer), or email tania@jbbbs.org with any questions!
