Care Patient Companion volunteers give comfort and support to individuals with terminal illness. Volunteers are a vital part of the hospice care team. As a Volunteer you may chat with your patient, read a book or poem, play familiar music from your mobile device, give family caregiver a break, or just hold the hand of someone's who is bed-bound. Patients receiving Hospice services reside either at home or in an assisted living or nursing home.
A 3-6 month commitment is requested.

Our care teams specialize in pain and symptom management, as well as emotional and spiritual support for the patient and family. An individualized plan of care is developed for each patient based comfort care measures needed and the wishes of the patient and family.
