Residents with dementia enjoy Waldorf style watercolor painting groups throught out the week at Gaffney House and Buchanan Place. We are seeking volunteers who wish to assist us with this group.
The volunteer will set the table with waterproof cloths and after residents are seated, assist them in putting on their clothing protectors, set up the paints and brushes and then help guide the residents with the weekly painting subject.
Volunteers are needed from 1-2:30 on weekdays for anyone that wants a little light, fun, interaction with the elderly without any of the more intense responsibilities. The houses provide the materials and supervision. You provide the creative energy.
Alternate times that work for us would be 10-11:30am.
Gaffney House is on Capitol Hill. Buchanan Place is in Columbia City.
