Recruiting Organization: North Carolina Campus Compact

As an NC Hunger Corps Member, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a service cohort fighting food insecurity across North Carolina! Corps members may: Build the capacity of projects such as food pantries, community gardens, food recovery programs •Assess community and organizational needs and identify assets • Recruit and train volunteers • Develop systems for volunteer recruitment and training• Create policies and procedures that increase program effectiveness • Support citizen and student leadership and participation in service opportunities • Seek new resources through fundraising and grant-writing • Facilitate volunteer placements, community-based research, and co-curricular opportunities that support communities • Manage programmatic outreach, communications, and marketing • Coordinate food insecurity awareness events and national day of service events• Create and/or monitor program data collection and performance measurement systems to ensure program success.

This is a one-year service commitment.
