AmeriCorps VISTAs (Volunteers in Service to America):

• Spend one year building capacity for poverty alleviating organizations
• Work 35 hours a week and may work a second job or take classes during their term
• Receive modest stipend bi-weekly, benefits, and upon completion of service have a choice between an education or cash award

Member Duties : The Volunteer Engagement Coordinator VISTA will: 1) develop a social media and marketing strategy to recruit and encourage volunteer activity; 2)provide support to volunteers assisting in the Food for Seniors program; 3) develop a volunteer recognition rewards program to encourage volunteer retention; 4) find solutions to streamline volunteer check-in and orientation

Focus: HOPE's programs deliver workforce development training and education, early childhood education and asset-based community development work. These programs aim to create a pipeline of opportunity from cradle to post-secondary education.
