Foster homes are the backbone of our rescue. Puppies and dogs go straight to loving homes as soon as they enter our rescue and stay in homes until they find their forever placement. Foster homes provide shelter, love, fun and sometimes a little discipline.

Take Me Home Pet Rescue provides all the food, bedding, crates, toys and other equipment. We pay for medical and have an entire Facebook group of volunteers full of advice to help you every step of the way.

We are super flexible and can work with you on your timing, dog size, dog age, etc. We are simply looking for homes that will provide a safe and wonderful place for these animals.

In exchange, you will be loved and find a wonderful and rewarding opportunity to help. You can change an animal's life without a lifetime commitment.

Take Me Home Pet Rescue (TMHPR), located in Richardson, TX, is a 100% nonprofit organization committed to reducing our homeless pet overpopulation.

Description

Take Me Home Pet Rescue was founded in 2008 to meet the growing needs of the homeless pet population. City shelters were becoming more and more crowded and there was a strong need for a no-kill, foster-based rescue in Richardson, Texas. Take Me Home has saved over 3,300 animals as of the start of 2022.

  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • Animals will be at your house 24/7, but your length of fostering is up to you. We do have temporary foster opportunities, too.
  • - Provide transportation to and from veterinary appointments - Availability for some weekends/evenings to meet potential adopters
