At Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest (RMHC INW), volunteers have the opportunity to join the Family Service team in completing tasks that make our house a hospitable space for families, children, and guests. Our volunteers are the heart and hands of our House. With support from our wonderful volunteers, families with children accessing medical treatment in Spokane can stay close together and have a "home away from home" with RMHC INW. Help make a difference in these families lives today!
Volunteer tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Providing a clean and comfortable environment throughout all living rooms, kitchens, game rooms, and common areas.
- Organizing and restocking supplies
- Accepting and distributing donations
- Assist in folding and organizing linens
- Hosting a craft or activity
- Supporting the meal program
Additional duties may be assigned according to experience, request, and need.
Ronald McDonald House does not accommodate court ordered community service.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest provides temporary lodging, social and emotional support, at no charge, for families of children accessing medical services.
Description
Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest provides temporary lodging, comfort, and support for families with children accessing medical services in Spokane at our Spokane Campus. We also support related efforts to improve children’s health.
The Ronald McDonald House is much more than a room to stay in. When families are close to the hospital, this facilitates more time with their child and more frequent interaction with their clinical care team which helps them better participate in the care decisions. Additionally, families staying with us have free laundry facilities, shuttle rides to and from the hospital, frequent meals prepared by volunteers through our Make-A-Meal program and much more.

- Volunteers are asked to commit to one four-hour shift every week for a longer-term commitment (6+ months). Shifts run 7 days a week from 9am-1pm, 1pm-5pm, and 5pm-9pm, depending on availability.
- •Must have a positive attitude and desire to serve all guests and visitors equally. •House Volunteers typically spend most of their shift standing and moving about the house. Some light lifting and physical tasks will be required.
