Volunteer shifts are roughly 3 hours in length and are available during the week and on weekends. Cashiers, customer service, and roles to process incoming donations are needed. Tidewell is an independent, not-for-profit organization offering a home-based, total support system for patients and families dealing with a life-limiting illness, serving more than 1100 patients a day in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte and DeSoto counties. Volunteers are part of the Hospice Team that offers supportive medical, emotional, spiritual and volunteer services to patients and families who are facing difficulties at the end of life. Hospice volunteers are concerned individuals who willingly give of their time and talents to help Hospice families in many ways. They come from all walks of life, bonded by the mutual desire to serve the community.
