ORGANIZATION: Foundation for an Independent Tomorrow (FIT)

Our Main Office

We are in need of tutors to help clients with reading. We require clients to pass an assessment that tests them on basic level reading. You will be tutoring re-entry clients, homeless, basic deficient, language barriers, etc. You must be comfortable communicating with people from all walks of life. You will be provided a space to tutor clients. Some days you may have 1 client other days you may have 5. We offer tutoring on a walk in basis so there is no limit. Description

The goal of FIT’s Self-Sufficiency Empowerment Program is for each client to achieve employment in a job that pays enough to support their entire family without public assistance. FIT achieves its goal by providing clients with the tools to overcome their barriers to employment, by empowering them to compete in the current job market and equipping them with the skills and knowledge to maintain their new-found financial stability.
