Description
GUTS! is a unique, community-based leadership and empowerment project designed by and for young women, ages 9-13. The GUTS! program encourages girls and gender-diverse youth to explore their own personal values and discover their strengths through wilderness adventures in the summer, continuing through the school year with after school groups and community service projects. GUTS!' goals are to (1) create a supportive and inquiring environment in which girls and gender-diverse youth can look closely at who they are, gaining the confidence and clarity to make constructive, healthy choices in their lives, and (2) to encourage participants to be effective leaders in their communities and the world.
