Want to help reduce landfill-bound waste? Rainier Valley Food Bank needs volunteers to help manage the proper sorting of our waste to reduce our environmental impact!

As time allows, waste reduction volunteers will also help break down cardboard, rinse containers for recycling, keep the grounds free of litter. There is also opportunity to do food rescue work by diverting food from our compost and connecting to neighbors with chickens or other livestock and bulk cooking foods "on the edge" (take home or to others, RVFB does not currently have appropriate kitchen facilities).
