Turntable Demonstrations
Saturday - Sunday, March 12th - October 30th
Do you think you could move a 20,000lb locomotive by hand? Well, at the Colorado Railroad museum you can! Our Turntable demonstrators welcome guests to our Roundhouse and Turntable facilities for hands-on learning about how strongarm turntables work. They get to help our visitors big and small push a 20,000lb turntable and get the inside scoop on our restoration and operations at the museum and help to convey the projects to the public.

Every Saturday and Sunday this spring - fall we are striving to offer a truly unique experience at the Colorado Railroad Museum. Turntable demonstrating is a wonderful volunteer opportunity where volunteers get to be the storytellers of our state's rich railroading history and its impact on our lives today.

Programs operate alongside train rides Saturday - Sunday 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. March, 12th through October, 30th.

Training will be held in early April for all interested parties. If you are interested, feel free to respond to this email or contact us directly at danielle@crrm.org
