  • STW(tm) will provide a "letter of recommendation" to interns, students & professionals who are able to showcase outstanding performance for school/university credit and for professional references. Hours worked will be awarded as community service/volunteer hours.

Save the Water(tm) is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to conduct water research to identify and remove harmful contaminants in water, and to raise public awareness about water contamination and its health impacts. STW (tm) also offers educational programs to excite young minds about water science.

Our volunteers are diverse professionals from all over the world bringing their knowledge and experience to STW (tm) because we care deeply about our communities and water resources. The Role:

This opportunity requires in-person volunteering in the South Florida region who will be responsible for providing IT support and reporting into the Founder & CEO of STW.

What you will be responsible for......

  • Provide technical support troubleshooting IT equipment, such as computers, printers, routers, and network equipment.
  • Assist with questions regarding IT equipment.
  • Understand standard operating procedures and processes and be able to apply knowledge as solutions to common technological problems.
  • Assist with computer maintenance and computer updates.

Apply Now if you have....

  • Experience troubleshooting personal and office desktop and laptop computers and office technology, including Windows, Google Workspace, file sharing, printers, and scanners.
  • Minimum 1-year experience in providing networking, desktop and/or PC administration, and hardware/software support.
  • Willingness to commute to the STW President’s home office and provide in-person support.
  • Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
  • The volunteer preferably should be local to the Broward area in South Florida
  • The effective Date: As soon as possible
