About SupplyBank.Org

Mission Statement works through trusted local partnerships to strengthen the social safety net and deliver essential supplies to children and families in need.

Description is a collaborative and innovative nonprofit agency that provides essential goods and services to children and families in vulnerable communities throughout California. We deliver basic tangible needs to children and families through trusted safety net organizations to increase the value of their services and the overall resources available to their clients. Through this model collaboration, we seek to permanently and effectively transform how under-resourced people receive what they need to thrive.

By distributing materials through a statewide network of more than 500 partnering agencies that provide additional resources supporting pathways out of poverty, we aim to alleviate the immediate symptoms of poverty while incentivizing families to participate in programs that provide pathways towards self-sufficiency. Leveraging existing investments into the safety net enables to distribute critical materials through a trusted infrastructure with a leg-up approach (no line) while minimizing operational costs. This model allows for SBO to provide upwards of $3 worth of necessities for every $1 invested.

Our next phase will begin with the completion of the Oakport Street Project ( www.Oakport.Org), which will include our new 120,000 sq. ft. distribution center and a 160,000 sq. ft. nonprofit center. The nonprofit center will consist of childcare, transit subsidies, shared spaces, a rooftop garden, a 1.25-acre rooftop farm, and a wellness center.
